London Marathon for Whizz-Kidz

May 5th, 2017

On the 23rd of April London hosted the 26 mile race around the River Thames, filled with eager runners supporting various different charities. The marathon, presently known through sponsorship as the Virgin Money London Marathon, founded by the former Olympic champion and journalist Chris Brasher & athlete John Disley, began on 29th of March 1981 & has been held in the spring of every year since. It is a huge event on every keen British runner’s calendar!

Just Imagine donated £50 for Katherine Edwards’ who ran in support of Whizz-Kidz, a charity that helps give disabled children and young people the specialist wheelchairs, skills & training they need to live an active childhood & to look forward to a bright future – they set disabled children free to live their lives to the full & reach their true potential.

Katherine raised an amazing £3,600 of the original target of £2000 towards the marathon, and finished in 4 hours & 35 minutes!
