We were asked to refurbish an Extra Care Community Centre, remodeling it to create a multiuse space that encouraged tenants to participate in a range of social activities housed within the vicinity. It was required of us to arrange participatory design meetings with tenants, involving them in the design and development process.

Regular consultation meetings were held to ensure tenants were fully involved in the design process, their voices were heard and listened to, and the designs met their needs. Creating a multi-functional space demanded that we sourced moveable, stackable and collapsible furniture.
