The client was passionate about this flagship scheme and was particularly enthusiastic about the historic town in West Sussex.
It was crucial to the client and potential residents to reflect a lifestyle that was true to people from West Sussex. Locals are passionate about its charming historic and characterful buildings with its rural surrounds, it was important for us to create a scheme that reflected this.
We paid homage to the New England inspired architecture with the framework of the scheme, creating bespoke shelving and using subtle heritage hues to give identity when way finding on each floor. We celebrated the Sussex countryside with a wallpaper designed by Jenny Frean, showcasing beautiful sketches of the rolling Sussex downs.
Time honoured Ticking stripes and bold statement lighting all create a charming country sense.
The café flows directly from the Entrance continues the rustic rural charm with Hounds-tooth patterning, topiary foliage and aged leathers. Jar inspired feature lighting showcase the tongue and groove fronted servery with a backdrop exposed brickwork to bring in an element of the outdoors.
As we move into the hair salon and residents lounge you see a more feminine approach with hints of quintessentially English touches. County elegance is reflected in the Floral patterns, soft colour palette and finishing touches of dusty pink hydrangeas.Elegant furniture styles compliment the interiors without compromising on the comfort and support to residents.
